The Lady Behind The Brand

Known professionally as Monét, I am the founder and steward of the Monét Obree Brand, based in Columbus, Ohio. At the heart of my work is a deep belief that care, creativity, and intention have the power to shape not only how we look, but how we live, lead, and build.
I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration from the Columbus College of Art & Design in 2011. Art has always been my first language—teaching me how to observe deeply, create thoughtfully, and design with purpose. That foundation continues to inform everything I do today.
In 2015, I became a licensed Managing Esthetician and Nail Technician through Casal Aveda Institute, supported by three full scholarships throughout my education. Since then, I have pursued continued and specialized training in eyelash extensions, permanent makeup, cosmetics formulation, yoni steam facilitation, coaching, and software development. Each discipline has added a new layer to how I understand service, systems, and human care.
While my current services focus on body waxing, lashes, and eyebrow care, the work itself has always extended beyond the surface. I intentionally create spaces where guests feel safe, encouraged, and seen—where honest conversations can happen and care is offered without rush. These moments, though small in appearance, are foundational to the larger vision I am building.
Under the parent brand Monét Obree, I am laying the groundwork for an evolving ecosystem that merges art, design, beauty, wellness, collaboration, and technology. This includes forward-looking initiatives such as The Spa Cubator and The Cubator Software, created to support, empower, and equip beauty and wellness professionals with the tools, systems, and confidence needed to grow sustainably.
I understand firsthand the weight of building something meaningful while navigating life, loss, growth, and responsibility. Because of this, my approach—whether with clients, collaborators, or emerging brands—is rooted in patience, integrity, and care.
As I often share, despite trials and transitions, I have devoted my life and career to empowering others to bring their visions to life. I see myself as a steward and midwife to ideas—creating safe, intentional spaces where creativity can take form and purpose can be built with clarity.
This is Phase Zero: honoring what exists, nurturing what’s forming, and building with intention toward what is to come.
